APT College is a distance education institution where certificate and degree program learning goals are achieved at a distance. APT College courses rely on online courserooms specifically built for each course in the APT eLearning Portal. Students engage multimedia content (interactive eTextbooks, video lectures, online presentations, online simulators, interactive animations, etc.) via the online eLearning Portal courseroom to master course learning outcomes and complete distance learning activities and assessments required to earn course credit.
APT College courses can be delivered in two distinct modalities:
In order to benefit from the unique distance learning opportunities provided by APT College, you need to have access to a computer, a reliable Internet connection, and a webcam for proctored exam requirements in both online and blended (synchronous webcast) courses. Click Minimum System Requirements for more information.
APT College does not operate on a traditional academic calendar as courses are offered continuously throughout the year. APT College courses are tailored to meet the specific needs of our students and can be scheduled for any date and time of the year.
Online courses are delivered in a weekly format, where each academic week starts on a Monday and ends on a Sunday. For blended courses, specific dates and times are scheduled for each session where you will meet with your instructor either via synchronous webcasts or in a physical class. It is important to note that you can collaborate and engage multimedia content in your online courseroom on a 24/7 basis regardless of the type of modality.
Click Courses to view the schedule of upcoming online courses. Contact APT College or your Education Representative to learn more about blended course schedules.
The duration of a 4 credit hour online course is 9 weeks. The duration of a 4 credit hour blended course ranges from 5 to 7 weeks depending on the percentage of activities performed online, lab complexity, and the length of each scheduled session. Contact an APT Education Representative or refer to the College Catalog for more details.
